Obituary for Anna Million (Leetham)

Anna B Million, 94, of Machesney Park, IL, passes away peacefully on February 9, 2024, in her daughter’s home in Roscoe, IL, surrounded by her loved ones.  Born Anna B. Leetham on November 16, 1929, in Murrayville, IL, the daughter of Albert and Mary “Alice” (Gray) Leetham and sister to Leroy and Harold Leetham.  She resided on the family farm until she married the love of her life James Million on June 3, 1948, in Woodson, IL.  Shortly after, they moved to Rockford, IL, for work.  Once the job was completed, they decided to return to Murrayville to be close to family.  Then after a brief stay, they returned to the Rockford area where they worked and raised their two children.  Anna was a mother and housewife for a number of years until she joined the work force at Barber Coleman Loves Park Plant in 1963 until she retired in 1994.  She also took great pride in being a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting, and giving back to the community with the things that she made.  Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (Richard) Daughenbaugh; son, Ronald Million; grandchildren, Marcey (Michael) Woodrow, Lorie (Patrick) Peterson, James “Jim” (Amy) Daughenbaugh, and Christopher “Chris” Million; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents; brothers, Leroy and Harold Leetham; husband, James Million; and grandson, Thomas James “TJ” Million.

Private services will be held with entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL.
