David “Harley” W. Corbett, Sr., 75, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in his home with family at his side. Born October 25, 1946, in Rockford, the son of George W. and Betty Mae (Henderson) Corbett. Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army. Married Pamela Meltesen on February 14, 1977, in Loves Park, IL. He loved riding his Harley. Avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan. Survivors include his wife, Pam; daughter, Christina (William) Reed; grandchildren, David W. Corbett, III, Justin Reed, Kegan Reed, and Raven Reed; great-grandchildren, Owen Corbett, and Macey Corbett; sisters, Deanna (James) Duggan, and Darlene Lewis; brother, Dennis Corbett; many nieces and nephews; loving fur babies, Chance, Chewy, Koda, and Sweety. Predeceased by his parents; son, David W. Corbett, Jr.; and brother, Danny Corbett.
Service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
