Harriet “Elaine” Singleton

Harriet “Elaine” Singleton, 84, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, in her home. Born August 7, 1938, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Roy and Opal (Taylor) Bree. Lived over 50 years in the Loves Park area, coming here from Spring Bay, IL. Married Jim Singleton on September 16, 1956, in Corinth, MS. Employed by Machesney Park Elementary School for five years, retiring in 2002. Elaine enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and shopping. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Jim; son, Rodney (Rhonda) Singleton of Freeport, IL; daughters, Rhonda Trevino of Belvidere, IL, Roxanne Russell of Loves Park, and Jami (Scott) Brandt of Rockton, IL; grandchildren, Hunter Singleton, Katrina Trevino, Kayla Trevino, Deanaka Trevino, Heather (Jeremiah Rychecky) Russell, David (Carolyn) Russell, Heidi (Dan) Reppuhn, Taylor Brandt, and Tanner Brandt; great-grandchildren, Haley, Dylan, Madilyn, Tessah, Gavin, Annaleese, Ahmareah, Jovi, Mikey, Jada, and Jaleah; great-great-grandchild, Weston; sister, Ruth Anne (Tom) Sparks of Lincoln, IL; brother, Raymond (Linda) Bree of Lincoln; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and very special friends, Darrell and Jeannie Williams. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Kenneth Bree; and sister, Shirley Miller. Special thank you to her nurses Wilhelmina and Maggie from Promedica Hospice for their care.

Service at noon Friday, August 26, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
