Obituary for Jack Spack

Jack Ernest Spack, 87, of Cambridge, Wis., passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, in Madison, Wis., V.A. Medical Center.  Born May 21, 1934, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Frank and Anna (Flobeck) Spack.  Graduated from Rockford West High School.  Married M. Jenine McFadyen on February 11, 1961.  Jack was very proud of his military service, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was stationed in Hawaii, and played in the band of the South Pacific.  Formerly employed by Barber-Colman Co.  He was then employed as an insurance agent for Mutual of New York for 10 years.  Jack retired after working for Motorola.  Jack and Jenine moved from Rockford to Cambridge, on Lake Ripley in 1987, where they enjoyed their retirement years.  With the help of his three sons, they renovated a guest cottage.  Member of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church in Argyle, Ill., and the Skiffer Group.  In his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed woodworking.  Survivors include his wife, Jenine; sons, Brock (Aimee), Derrick (Suzanne) and Shawn (friend, Shari) Spack; grandchildren, Brent (Nichole), Alicia (Jon) Mays, Britney, Logan, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Annie Jean, and Elle; brother, Bill (Kathy) Spack; brother-in-law, Galen (Linda) McFadyen; sister-in-law, Bonna McFadyen; nephew, Andrew Spack; niece, Anna Davenport.  Predeceased by his parents; and infant daughter, Janelle.  Special thanks to the Madison V.A. Medical Center for their compassionate care.

Memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, in Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, 7300 Belvidere Road, Caledonia, Ill., with memorial visitation from 1 p.m. to service time.  Cremation rites accorded.  Memorials to the Cambridge American Legion, Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, or Oakland Cambridge Presbyterian Church.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, Ill.
