Lois M. Murphy
On June 20, 2022, bathed in the golden sunset of a summer solstice and surrounded by her children, our precious mom took her last breath and returned to heaven. Lois Murphy, 91, lived a life of endless love for anyone who entered her world. She was truly an example of God’s love on earth. She saw the good in people, was patient, kind, and loving. In mom’s presence, there was no judgment, only acceptance. If you met our mom, you were loved and cherished. Lois was married to her husband, Bill, for 70 years. Their house was a welcoming place, and mom was the gentle spirit serving nourishment to all. Her example of selflessness and care for others exhibited what Jesus came to show us—love. She will be missed by all who knew her. Lois is survived by her four children, Teresa (Ferd) Mossberg, Michael (Loraine) Murphy, Timothy (Judy) Murphy, and Amy (Michael) Easton; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, in Caledonia Congregational Church, 14730 Oak Street, Caledonia, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time.
