Merlin Paul Frank

Merlin Paul Frank, 81, of Roscoe, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, after a long illness. He was born at home on April 11, 1941, in Augusta, WI, the son of Harold and Mary (Eisberner) Frank. Graduated from Alma Center High School, Class of 1962. Married Beverly Jean Jacobson on August 2, 1962. Employed at Ingersol Milling Machine Co. for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Charter member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he attended services for nearly 27 years. He enjoyed volunteering for the Friday Folders Group with his friends at the church. Merlin was a gentle but strong man with a quiet sense of humor that everyone loved. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed building things for his home and family, gardening and sitting in nature, and bowling in a league. Merlin was especially talented in small engine repair, where he showed his skills as a hands-on creative thinker that could fix anything. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons, Daniel (Lea Ann) of Hales Corners, WI, Steve (Kathy) of Allen, TX, and Christopher (Dawn) of Roscoe; daughter, Kathryn (Douglas) Arnold of Black River Falls, WI; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Raymond Frank; and sister, Diane (Frank) Johnson. Predeceased by his parents; and brother, Harold Jr.

Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church, 425 Riverside Blvd., Belvidere, IL, 61008, with memorial visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. The family asks that all donations in his memory be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
