Robert “Skip” J. Reynolds, Jr.
Robert “Skip” J. Reynolds, Jr., 78, of Roscoe, IL, was called home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 20, 1944, in Rockford, IL, the son of Robert J. and Theresa A. (Keichinger) Reynolds, Sr. Attended Harlem High School. Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Cheryl K. Freeman on June 25, 1966, in Loves Park, IL. Formerly employed by Crouse Cartage Co. for 15 years and retired from R. L. Leak after 12 years in 2018. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Avid Green Bay Packer fan. Skip enjoyed taking his granddaughter, Laila, to Sunrise Family Restaurant for breakfast and Starbucks. He enjoyed race cars, body work, painting, playing Monopoly, fishing, hunting, boating, and watching western movies. Survivors include his son, Bobby (Nicole Cincinnati) Reynolds of Roscoe; grandchildren, Laila and Nevan; sister, Terry (Jim) Shepard of Stillman Valley; several nieces and nephews; loving fur baby, Chance. Predeceased by his parents; wife; and daughter, Carolyn.
Service at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
