Sally Anna Bucey, 87, of Loves Park passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, in her home.  Born October 25, 1934, in Rockford, the daughter of Eldon and Florence (Boss) Medearis.  Married Clarence “Vern” L. Bucey, Sr. on January 5, 1952.  Employed as a self-employed beautician for many years, retiring from Wholesale Veterinary Supply.  Member of Concordia Lutheran Church.  Sally loved her family, politics, bowling, and dancing with Vern.  She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears.  Sally loved to text and Facebook with her grandchildren.  She was always cross-stitching items for her family.  Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Utech; son, James (Kirsten) Bucey; son-in-law, Russ Crowell; grandchildren, Darrell, Stephanie, Nathan, Angie, Sally, Lynsey, Emma, Wyatt, Elizabeth, and Leigh; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jack, Max, Abby, Connor, Gracie, Nick, Alex, Anne, Emmie, Bennett, Micah, and Hank; siblings, Janet Lanning, Jerry Medearis, Marge Blomquist and Sue Thurow; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Anne Crowell; son, Clarence “Vern” Bucey, Jr.; son-in-law, Darrell Utech; siblings-in-law, Floyd Lanning, Grace Medearis, Swede Blomquist, and Kelly Thurow.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Concordia Lutheran Church, 7424 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Willwood Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church.
